After living in New York City for the past four years, Kurt is happy to be back in Southern California where he was born and raised. His journey to the Pilates and GYROTONIC® work began while training to be a dancer. Kurt graduated with a degree in dance from the University of California, Irvine where he performed pieces by Jose Limon, Billy Siegenfeld, David Allen, and was a part of Donald McKayle's "Etude Ensemble.” He attended Pennsylvania Ballet’s Rock School of Ballet summer program and also the jazz program at Jacob’s Pillow.
Kurt became GYROKINESIS® certified in 2002 and went on to certify in both Pilates from Long Beach Dance Conditioning with Marie Jose Blom-Lawrence in and in GYROTONIC® from White Crane Movement Arts with Lisa Marie Goodwin in 2003.
While living in New York City, he was able to teach Pilates and GYROTONIC® to such clientele as Bette Midler, "Queer Eye for the Straight Guy's" Kyan Douglas and numerous Broadway stars and dancers.
Kurt believes the work done in Pilates and GYROTONIC® assists both young and old to better themselves. He hopes to pass on his knowledge to keep the body and the mind fit and strong.
