Debby's interest in movement began at the age of 5 with dance lessons. In high school, she taught dance and continued her dance career in Chicago, teaching, studying and performing with Gus Giordano after graduation. Her fitness interest grew with an aerobic instructor position at a local gym. Her dance center then asked her to create an aerobics program.
After retiring from dance she pursued her passion of travel and became a flight attendant for many years.
In 2004 Debby was diagnosed with breast cancer [for the second time]. The radiation, chemotherapy, and various medications left her body weak and her hip and back muscles deteriorated. Her physical therapist introduced her to GYROTONICŪ to improve her strength and mobility. For Debby, the GYROTONIC EXPANSION SYSTEMŪ was a great way to rehabilitate herself. She expanded her workout to include Pilates, which helped her build even more strength.
Debby decided to share this wonderful workout and help others by becoming a a certified GYROTONICŪ and GYROTKINEISŪ instructor. Debby is certified in Pilates Mat Level I and II, as well as the LBDC Advances in the Pilates Technique through Synergy SystemsŪ and Cathleen Murakami.
Debby's personal success, her vibrant personality and positive attitude is an inspiration to others.
